Digital Form

e-form, digital checklist

A digital form is a structured checklist or report completed on a mobile device instead of on paper — capturing answers, photos, measurements and signatures directly against a job.

Definition

Digital forms can require an answer before a job is closed, force a photo when a check fails, and timestamp and geotag every entry, which paper cannot do. The completed form becomes part of the job record automatically.

Why it matters

Paper forms have to be driven back, re-typed and filed, and they routinely go missing. Digital forms remove the re-entry step entirely and make the evidence searchable, which matters most in audited and regulated work.
